The Micha Design Company

The Micha Design Company was formed in 1986, offering design and pcb manufacturing to local customers. Initially providing a local service, the customer base has now expanded to cover England for non-solar applications, and Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas for its solar products.

From brief suggestions to full specifications, we design the electronics for a wide range of applications; battery chargers, building management controllers, medical equipment and process control and bespoke display systems are just a few of the projects we have been involved in, and our input can be found in such diverse locations as fork-lift trucks and tractors to the New British Library and Swiss Re buildings in London.

We provide a subcontract manufacturing service for customers who already have their own designs but wish make use of our production facilities. In many cases, we have helped a customer with the initial design and the low volume manufacture of their product until their requirements are such that they need to outsource to suppliers specialising in mass production.

From one-off prototypes to large scale production, we cater for all needs and circumstances.

In the early 1990’s we were introduced to the solar market when we took over the assembly of the range of charge controllers and other products produced at that time by BP Solar in the UK.
We now design and manufacture our own range of microprocessor-based control equipment for the PV market, including Charge Controllers and Cathodic Protection units, as well as ancillary controls and equipment. We can produce specials and variations of our standard products in a range of enclosures, or can supply kits and sub-assemblies to suit the requirements of the end user.

Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, the company currently has 22 employees covering all aspects of the business; printed circuit design, pcb assembly, mechanical assembly and microprocessor software development.
In 2010, the company purchased the adjoining building - Unit 2 - doubling our manufacturing area. We are fully accredited with ISO 9001:2008 and endeavour to provide and maintain the highest level of service
